Konnen Electrical was created to bring broad electrical experience, disciplined planning and straightforward service into one Southern Oregon company.

The name

Capability earned through knowledge, skill and experience.

Konnen — pronounced “KEN-en” — takes its name from the German können, meaning “to be able to.” The related German noun Können describes ability, skill or capability.

That is the idea behind the company: knowledge matters because of what you are capable of doing with it. In electrical work, that means more than installation. It means diagnosis, planning, judgment, sequencing and understanding how one part of a system affects another.

The company name is written Konnen Electrical in English business use. The umlaut remains part of the visual identity as a direct connection to the word the name came from.

Experience behind the company

More than one corner of the electrical trade.

The field experience behind Konnen spans residential construction and remodel work, commercial installation and service, industrial maintenance and troubleshooting, motors and control systems, low- and medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, grounding and bonding, and large mission-critical construction environments.

That variety matters because electrical work rarely exists in isolation. A service issue can involve loading. An equipment connection can involve controls. A remodel can expose old conditions. A project can succeed or fail based on coordination before the first conduit is installed.

Konnen brings that systems-level habit to the work without pretending the company itself has been around for decades. The company is new. The trade experience is established.
